Our Mission:  Reducing the Prevalence and Consequences of Alcoholism and Other Drug Addiction Diseases through 1. Education 2. Diagnosis and 3. Treatment
Current Programs > Project Choice Education Series

The NCA-BA has been providing Project Choice, formerly Youth Aware Life Skills, to San Francisco elementary and middle schools for over 20 years. Our educational workshops reach children before their attitudes about alcohol and drug use have become fixed.

The Project Choice curriculum educates young students about alcohol, tobacco, illicit drug use, addiction, and the life skills necessary to make healthy decisions. Our Project Choice instructors deliver objective information and discuss with the students the realistic consequences of drug use on their minds and bodies.

Project Choice is an interactive program, where the students themselves help determine the focus topics according to their own interests, questions, and concerns. Classes are presented in a series of five (5) fifty (50) minute sessions for grades 6, 7 and 8. For more information please email us at or call us at 415-296-9900.
